About

We ran counters before we wrote software

Northline started as an internal tool for a two-branch coffee business that had outgrown spreadsheets and a cash box.

Most point-of-sale tools stop at the transaction. The moment you ask what a category earned last Tuesday, whether the Cebu branch is short on beans, or how labor tracked against sales on a rainy Friday, you're back in a spreadsheet.

Northline was designed the other way around. The register is the front door to a system that already knows your items, your costs, your branches and your team. Everything a manager needs to close the day is one screen away, and everything an owner needs to make a decision is already computed.

This build is a working demo populated with a fictional two-location business, so you can click through every screen the way a real operator would.

The counter comes first

If a sale takes more than a few taps, nothing else in the system matters.

One dataset

Sales, stock, staff and books read from the same records — there is nothing to reconcile.

Every branch visible

Multi-location isn't an upsell. Consolidated reporting ships with the product.

Permissions by default

Cashiers see the register. Owners see the money. Nobody has to remember to lock things down.
